Dutch government trade instruments

As of Romania’s accession to the EU, the number of Dutch government instruments has been reduced. No new requests can be made for PSOM Business-to-Business or the PESP programmes. However, we still have the following instruments:

1. Trade requests

Dutch companies may ask questions about doing business in Romania to the EVD (roemenie@info.evd.nl) or to the Economic Department of the Embassy.

2. Individual Market Scan (IM)

Individual Market Scan is a tailor-made service for Dutch companies that are looking for potential counterparts in Romania. It is a co-production of the EVD and the Embassy. The outcome of the service is a market scan, which includes information on potential counterparts and specific market data. More information on the service and on how to apply can be found on www.evd.nl/marktbewerking.

3. Trade missions (CPA)

On a regular basis, trade missions to Romania are organised by branche-organisations or others in the Netherlands. The Embassy will meet with these missions and may offer advice concerning the set-up of the trade mission. Some of these missions are (partially) financed by the Dutch government through the programme “Collectieve Promotionele Activiteiten”(CPA). In that case, they will also be announced on the website of the EVD (www.evd.nl). If you are interested in submitting a proposal for the CPA-programme click here.

4. 2g@there

2g@there programme has been designed for groups of Dutch companies that want to jointly enter a specific market, but need the Dutch government support in order to be successful. For Romania, proposals can be submitted in the following sectors: hightech systems, water, food & flowers, life sciences & health, chemicals, energy, infrastructure and creative industries. More information and examples are available at www.evd.nl/2getthere.
